Two terrific wins for the Sharks today as we travelled away to Mulgrave taking on the Eastern Devils. It was great to see our Premier Division side record their first win for 2014, our first under Lloydy. We look forward to continuing our hard work and keeping the momentum going into Rd 5.

A great first quarter saw us race out of the blocks kicking 9.1 while the Devils could only manage 3 behinds. Fantastic team work and run across the ground saw us continue the momentum in a 4 quarter effort. It was great to see us have 9 goals kickers with 5 multiple goal kickers. New Western Bulldogs recruit Mo Hope was a handful up forward against her old side as she finished with 12 great goals. Richo bagged 4 as our forward line gelled well together. A terrific team effort with Mo and Rebecca Dardengo named in our best players.

Our Division 1 game was hard fought with scores tied up at ¾ time. A great last quarter from the Sharks saw us kick 2 goals while holding the Devil scoreless to run out 12 pt winners and claim the Jo Cox Cup. Jo Cox was a terrific woman who played for the Devils and umpired our great game. Tragically Jo passed away in her 30’s from cancer. Well done to the Devils for their hard work honouring her memory. Gracie kicked 2 with Stephanie Townsend & Alana Tully named in our best players. #OnTheMove
