Clubs are only as ever as good as the people involved and we’ve had the best steering our ship these past five seasons.
Keryn Ralph joined the club in 2007 as a player and quickly moved into a role on the committee. From there her role evolved from committee member to vice president and then onto president in 2012.
After our success in the late 1990s the club struggled for a number of years and at times struggled to fill the two teams we had registered.
Over the last five years under Keryn’s leadership the club has taken huge steps forward. We pride ourselves on our culture and Keryn has been a huge driving force behind that. With over 100 registered members, we are now one of the the biggest clubs (maybe the biggest) in Victoria and the St Kilda Sharks are once again a destination club.
In 2013, our senior side played in their first finals campaign in years and in 2014 Keryn captained our reserves side who went on to win the division one premiership.
In 2014, she helped establish a third side which plays in the division 2 competition.
In 2016, she helped launch the Sharks first ever ‘R U OK day at the Farm’ which raised over $3000 for the R U OK campaign, a campaign that means a lot to those involved at the club.
