Cassandra ‘Caspa’ Brooks to play game 200

Sharks veteran Cassandra ‘Caspa’ Brooks will play game 200 tomorrow at the Peanut Farm.

She’s a tough all rounder who began her career with a handful of games for Macleod, before moving to the Sharks in the late 1990s.

She spent twelve years on the clubs committee, six of those as president.  In 2013 she was awarded St Kilda Sharks life membership and in 2014 the Cassandra Brooks medal (best player in the premier division final series) was introduced.

As a player Caspa has racked up some impressive accolades.

In 2000 she was selected in the Victorian representative side and over the years she has represented both Vic Country and Vic Metro multiple times.

She’s a member of the 15th anniversary Sharks side and was selected in the team of the 2000s at the VWFL’s 25 year anniversary.

At club level she’s a two time best and fairest (2000 and 2004) and a four time premiership player (1997, 1998, 1999 and 2004).

Cassandra Brooks is the ultimate clubwoman, a Sharks legend and a VWFL star. Make sure you get down to the Farm tomorrow at 12PM to support this legend when she runs out for her 200th game.
