Week 4- Results (VFLW Round 3/SEWF Division 1 & 2 Round 4)

This week we had a long weekend of Sharks footy and it all started on Friday night when our division 2 side took on Edi-Aspi. Unfortunately the result didn’t go our way in that one and Edi-Aspi walked away 29 point winners.

Both our VFLW and reserves games (division 1) featured very different teams from the previous week with a number of players unavailable due to injury and illness. but got the points in both matches and ended the weekend 2/3.

In the VFLW Jasmine Garner and Brittany Bonnici were everywhere and new AFLW recruit Maddy Gay kicked her first goal for the club and backed it up with another goal not long after. It was a 39 point win for the Sharks.

In the division one match VFLW assistant coach Tam Hyett got a late call up when a couple of the girls were unable to play due to illness and it worked out to be a pretty handy addition. Tam booted the match winner after the siren and the Sharks were 4 point winners.

In today’s video VFLW/AFLW star Tilly Lucas-Rodd speaks to Tamara Hyett and Taylah Watson post game.

Special thanks to Belinda Bowey from www.belindajanevideo.com who captured the last two minutes of the reserves game featured below.
